Transition Liquid Phase Bonding (TLP)

Diffusion brazing or Transition Liquid Phase Bonding (TLP)  is a solid-state joining process suitable for the alloys that are difficultly welded together by conventional welding processes; it has, in fact, the least influence on the microstructure of alloys in conjunction with applying a well-made connection. Here are some example of project in this area in my research group:

  • Effect of bonding time on the joint properties of transient liquid phase between Ti-6Al-5V and AISI 304 stainless steel
  • The effect of bonding time on the microstructure and mechanical properties of transient liquid phase bonding between SAF 2507 and AISI 304
  • Diffusion brazing of Ti–6Al–4V and AISI 304: an EBSD study and mechanical properties
  • Effect of bonding temperature on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti-6Al-4V to AISI 304 transient liquid phase bonded joint
