Production and Weldability of Nano-Composite Metallic Material

In recent years, metal matrix composites (MMCs) have received attention due to their attractive physical, mechanical, electrical and magnetic characteristics. Aluminum metal matrix composites are being considered as a group of new advanced materials due to low density, high strength, high specific modulus, low coefficient of thermal expansion and good wear and corrosion resistance properties. Here are some example of project in this area in my research group:

  • Production of High-Strength Al/Al2O3/WC Composite by Accumulative Roll Bonding
  • Formation mechanism of B4C–TiB2–TiC ceramic composite produced by mechanical alloying of Ti–B4C powders
  • Fabrication and characterization of Al–Al2O3–ZrC composite produced by accumulative roll bonding (ARB) process
  • Influence of Al2O3 Nanoparticles on Microstructure and Strengthening Mechanism of Al-Based Nanocomposites Produced via Spark Plasma Sintering
